DOCUMENT AUTOMATION / 02

From analytical data to presentation-ready reports.

A server-side reporting pipeline that turns organizational assessment data into dynamically generated PowerPoint presentations.

Concept illustration. This is not a product screenshot and contains no client data.

The challenge.

Generating analytical presentations requires charts, tables, and narrative content to change while the original template remains consistent and the exported file stays valid.

My contribution.

Developed and enhanced the server-side PowerPoint reporting pipeline, including template processing, chart and slide cloning, validation, caching, and authenticated downloads.

The approach.

Python-based template processing updates slide content and chart data, assembles variable-length sections, validates document relationships, and stores generated reports in Azure Blob Storage.

The decisions behind it.

Preserve the presentation system

Template-driven updates retain the original theme and layouts while supporting dynamic charts, tables, branding, and appendix sections.

Validate the exported document

OOXML relationship remapping and document hardening address compatibility when slides and chart parts are duplicated.

Regenerate only when inputs change

SHA-256 input fingerprints support cached exports. AI-assisted narratives have deterministic template fallbacks.

What was delivered.

Implemented dynamic report generation, export validation, and cached delivery. Ownership here is specific to the reporting pipeline, rather than the entire organizational analytics platform.
